The cost of an appointment depends on how you pay for the appointment.

You can pay with cash, EFT (bank app) or medical aid.

Medical Aid
We charge medical aid rates, which makes it possible for us to claim from ANY medical aid. Costs are covered by your plan’s Benefits or Savings cover options. Check with your medical aid if funds are available in your Day-to-day or Savings account.
We allow one hour for our appointments to assess, test, diagnose and treat your problem. There are no additional or hidden costs to our appointments. The price includes strapping tape, needles and  the use of related machines for treatment.

Payment FAQs

​How much does a physiotherapy session cost?

Our cash price for treatment is R650 for the first session.
The follow up sessions price depends on the session duration (0-30 min R350 and 30-60 min R650).
We accept all medical aids (medical aid claims are about R100 more for admin fees but will be claimed from the medical aid).
No Co-payment will have to be made.

Which Medical Aids do you support?

We are contracted in with the medical aids, this makes it possible for us to claim from ANY medical aid.  Should you belong to a specific network, then give us a call (0836556567), to see if we can assist you.

Will my medical aid cover the physiotherapy sessions?

Physiotherapy is usually paid from your savings account. Please make sure that you still have funds available. Some network options and certain GEMS plans do require authorization or a referral letter from the doctor.

We are also contracted with Medscheme back and neck program.  The fees for session with this program does not come from your day to day savings when visiting a registered physiotherapist.  Contact your medical aid for more information

What is the Medscheme back and neck program?

This program is valid for members belonging to Polmed and Fedhealth (excluding myFED option)

• Patients have the choice if they would like to be part of this program or not. 
• Patients need to register for this program. 
• The patient then needs to complete an online questionnaire.​
• The patient is provided with a list of physiotherapists who are registered on the program and decides on a physiotherapist or they may continue with their current physiotherapist. If this provider is not on the preferred provider list, the payment will come from the day-to-day benefit. If this benefit is exhausted, the patient will have to cover the costs themselves. If their provider is part of the program, the medical aid will cover the cost. 
• The patient receives an authorisation number which will indicate their registration status to the payment department. 
• Payment for physiotherapy treatment for patients on this program is funded from a separate basket of care and does not affect their day-to-day benefits.  

What if you don't have medical aid? ​

You can pay cash or EFT  right after the treatment. In the medical field we refer to these patients as ‘private’ patients. Advantage to these patients are payment is at a set discount rate of R650 (or R350 if the follow up session is only half an hour). You don’t pay more.  

Payment Methods accepted?

Cash, EFT and medical aid payment methods are the only methods accepted. 

Can you claim from medical aid after paying cash?

Yes you can.  You can use the statement that will be provided after payment to the medical aid.  The medical aid will then reimburse you.
